In order of
achievement, we'd have to say that being voted
into the Bogota High School Sports Hall of Fame
was an important accomplishment for Rich.
Entry into the Delaware Valley College Sports Hall
of Fame followed. In 1983 he became
President of the American Veterinary Distributors'
Association. He retired from A.J. Buck &
Son, Inc. as Vice-President of Sales and
Marketing, but his career goals were realized when
he became co-founder and owner of Phoenix
Scientific Co., a generic drug company. Wow -
congrats Rich on a full and rewarding
life!!
Rich is now having to cope with
Parkinson's disease, which curtails some of his
activities, but he truly enjoys spending time with
his five grandchildren, dabbling in investments
and watching sports on TV.
Unforgettable
moments? This is a direct quote from Rich:
"When you realize that you've hit upon a great
idea and can see it come to fruition - such as our
generic drug company - that's "unforgettable" to
be sure." He can still remember many moments
playing basketball, and believe it or not, he can
still vividly remember the day Mrs. Sachtleban
kicked him out of class!! Ha
