Walt graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson
University with a BS degree in Business Mgmt. He worked for
Pirelli Cable during which time he lived in several NJ
locations, was transferred to Delaware in 1986 and after
rising to the position of Div. Director of Marketing, took
early retirement (after 25 years) from Pirelli Cable. He
and his first wife were divorced in 1997. He then took up
real estate where he excelled and received a DOZEN AWARD,
putting him in the top 5% in sales of realtors in the US.
While in Delaware, he met Debra and in 1998 they moved to
Indiana where they married, began a new business and live in
Debra's hometown of Mitchell. Together they are successful
broker/owners of Action Realty & Auction Services, LLC.
They have grown it to a very successful business with 8
realtors and 2 auctioneers on staff. Walt says he still
enjoys the challenge and has no immediate plans for
retirement.
Walt has developed over the years into a self-assured,
persuasive, self-confident man and enjoys life in the more
relaxed, less stressful "heartland" of America. He is
active in business and civic affairs including VP of
"Mitchell on the Move" and Director of the "Mitchell Urban
Enterprise Assn." among others.
Walt's hobbies include gardening, travel and volunteer
activities. He has been involved with swimming & diving as
a referee, the NCAA, the YMCA and United States swimming,
among many other civic organizations. His 3 daughters,
Laura, Linda and Alison are all well educated and working at
very responsible positions. Alison's daughter Rebecca is in
her 1st year of preschool. His stepson, Jason, is a Senior
at Indiana State and step-daughter Bethany, is a Junior at
Mitchell HS. He is still an avid NY Rangers hockey fan,
also loves the Giants and the Yankees. He confesses that in
college basketball, his heart now belongs to the Indiana
Hoosiers !! He is looking forward to seeing everyone in
October. |
