Spouse: Joy
Children:   4
Grandchildren:  7
 Year married: 1961
Jerry served four years in the Navy, including duty aboard the USS Forrestal, which was the first angle deck carrier in the fleet, commissioned in 1955.  After discharge from the Navy, Jerry put in 7 hard years of night school  and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a BS degree.
Through the years Jerry was a member of championship teams in baseball and softball.  He also coached his kids in baseball and basketball youth programs.

He worked as an accountant for, and has retired from, Public Service Electric & Gas Company.  Jerry now has the time to enjoy his grandchildren, his wife  and the great game of golf.  He mentioned that they have always celebrated the births of their 4 children and 7 grandchildren and that it was particularly great to celebrate 43 years of marriage to Joy, this past year.

Asked how he has changed, Jerry says, "Well, if I can't mention gaining weight, then maybe you'll allow me to say that I've lost some height.  I guess we all have, but in my case it's noteworthy."  His most unforgettable moment was seeing the Pope in Rome !!

Robert Carney (deceased)

At the 50th reunion of our high school graduation, those attending will miss those classmates that cannot be there. From the perspective of 1954, this anniversary would seem to be an eternity, but from the perspective of 2003 looking back, aided  by these photographs, 1954 seems like yesterday. Thank you Bob for being our classmate.
