Bill is a retired electrician now but had
many work experiences such as an 18 wheel cross country
driver, bartender and owner of service stations and a
restaurant and lounge. The lounge was in Utica, N.Y., and,
when it burned to the ground 33 years ago, he moved his
family to Florida. He is now an orchid grower and surrounds
himself with 1300 of them.
Bill spent two years in Japan with his wife
and oldest daughter and says his son was "made in Japan".
The culture was unique at the time and he had a lifetime of
experiences. Bill says he has changed a little since BHS; he
lost 80 pounds a while back and has not gained them back.
Bill's interests are golf, Dolphin football,
Marlins baseball, playing with 1300 orchids and going to the
beach. Bill considers earning his HS diploma, 40 years late,
with the owner of "Wendy's", a special achievement.
Bill's most unforgettable moment was watching
the shuttle explode on take off-unbelievable when seen with
one's own eyes.
