After leaving BHS Ed held many jobs before being drafted in 1956 and was stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. After leaving the army, Ed had multiple sales jobs including classified advertising for The New York Law Journal. Ed then started selling printing presses and was employed by the largest printing press manufacturer in the U.S. His territory was the mid-Atlantic states. He was promoted to regional sales manager and was transferred to Boston, Chicago and Rochester. The company was bought out by a conglomerate and Ed's employment ended. Ed ended up selling for A. G. Edwards and retired at age 66. Ed has owned a 30' sailboat, and a 42' power boat which he lived on in Annapolis, Maryland. Ed has sailed many times on a friend's 40' sailboat to the Caribbean, 1100 miles each way. Ed moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and enjoys his two cats and turns bowls on a wood lathe. Ed invites any classmate to visit him |
